How can packaging design build trust before you experience the product?

On the shelf, every moment counts. People make decisions in a matter of seconds. In the healthcare sector in particular, success relies on trust in the product and the reassuring feeling of making the right choice.

Solution

We designed the Hansaplast packaging as a direct experience with the product. Through micro-embossing, the packaging makes the plaster both visible and tactile. The texture and scale match the actual product, enabling faster selection and buying decisions. The result: a 15% increase in sales in the first year after launch, higher brand recognition, and clearer shelf navigation.

The new "Smile" logo also captures this sense of clarity and instant relief without needing words. It symbolises that small yet significant moment of comfort when the plaster is applied and the pain begins to fade.
